Inland Andalucia
The two cottages at Finca Maridadi are situated in the countryside near to the old walled town of Ronda with its deep gorge and historic streets. Travel south from here and you arrive, after just 37 kms, at the mountain village of Gaucin. A settlement since ancient times, this clustered collection of whitewashed houses clings to the slopes of the Serranio de Ronda, focused on the ruins of a Moorish fortress, open to views of Gibraltar and North Africa. In addition to luxury villas and cottages on the hillsides surrounding the village, we offer the best of both worlds with a stay on the exclusive La Almuna estate or in the grounds of El Puerto del Negro. To the east Casa Amarilla is set in the beautiful mountain landscape of the Sierra Tajeda.
The Andalucian Coast
Take to the hills or bask on the beach...both are possible in the same day with our Andalucian coastal collection. We have villas in various locations: one of our houses overlooks the sea above La Herradura and another is near Mijas. This well known ‘pueblo blanco’ (white town), its narrow streets twist and turn between whitewashed houses, where bright cascades of vivid geraniums spill from tubs and window boxes. Others are near fashionable Puerto Banus and San Pedro de Alcantara and the less flamboyant (except during its August feria) Benahavis. Near the ancient village of Casares ‘fincas’ share the surrounding slopes with grazing goats - and beaches begin within a comfortable drive. The best of both worlds in Southern Spain.
The Sierra de Aracena
A beautiful blend of wildflower meadows, oak and cork forests and marvellous mountain scenery, the Sierra de Aracena is a land for all seasons. As timeless as its spectacular nature, the region’s simple rural lifestyle has remained unchanged for centuries. We have chosen our ‘fincas’ here for their charm, location and character.
While they offer peace and a spell in the slow lane, they are also well placed for exploration on foot or by car. Shop for Serrano ham in the market town of Aracena. See the splendour of Seville in a day trip. Plan a route for a country walk and a picnic in the woods or try in-depth discovery with a guided tour through the stalagmites and stalactites of the famous caves.
